Jo Leinen MEP (S&D) has been President of the European Movement International since 2011. In the European Parliament, where he has been a member since 1999, he is a current member of AFO, Co-Chair of the Spinelli Group, and Chairman of the Delegation for Relations with China. He has previously served as Minister for the Environment for the State Government of Saarland, Germany, and is an honorary President of the European Federalists. With the European Parliament Mr Leinen has also served posts as Chairman of both the ENVI and AFCO committees.
